This range of 230 Volt/15 Amp underwater pluggable connectors is available with 2, 3 or 4 contacts and has a maximum pressure rating of 20,000 psi. The connectors have 16 AWG conductors. They are rubber moulded and supplied with SO neoprene cables. Groove supplies the highest quality connectors available, with proven reliability.
The unique connector design allows water to be expelled through a vent hole when connectors are mated. A wiping action of the male pin ensures electrical connections are made in a dry environment. This means the connectors can be plugged or un-plugged (in de-energised conditions) in almost any environment, at almost any depth. These are the only true diver-mate underwater connectors available.
We stock the range of corresponding 230 volt/15 Amp rated bulkheads.
For situations where mated underwater connectors may be under mechanical stress, optional locking sleeves are available to maintain good electrical contact – see product matrix. For standard series connectors, the LS series locking sleeve must be fitted to the cable prior to installation.
The underwater pluggable connectors use a proven water expulsion mating process achieving ratings of up to 20,000 psi. Electrical power must be off before connecting or separating any of these products.
Groove underwater pluggable connectors are used in various applications from subsea ROVs to marine navigation buoys where product reliability and quality are of paramount importance.
